BOTHRIOSPONDYLUS

FAMILY: Brachiosauridae.
ERA: Mid-Late Jurassic ( Bathonian 169.2 - 164.4 and Kimmeridgian 154.1 - 150.7 Ma ).
SIZE: Length 15-20 m (50 - 65 ft).
LOCATION: Europe , Africa.
FOSSILS: B. suffoxus; 7 dorsal and sacral centra .
  B. robustus; Dorsal vertebra e.
  B. madagascariensis; Isolated vertebra e, limb elements.
COMMENTS: Bothriospondylus was a brachiosaurid intermediate in size between Brachiosaurus and Pleurocoelus.
SPECIES LIST:
B. suffossus Owen, 1875 (type) including Ornithopsis suffossus and Pleurocoelus suffossus.
B. madagascariensis Lydekker, 1895. Some consider this a nomen dubium .
B. robustus Owen, 1875, senior synonym of Marmarospondylus robustus. Some consider this a nomen dubium .
B. elongatus Owen, 1875 and B. magnus Owen, 1875 are nomina dubia considered as Ornithopsis hulkei.
